The new job!

This week has been fantastic, and its only wednesday!  I like the new job so far.  The training class is so laid back.  It goes on for 6 weeks.  The group has decided to make the most of it since we will be in such a small room for the first four weeks.  It is also casual week so... We get to wear shorts and jeans and t-shirts, Oh my!

My biggest concern was the bathroom.  Jason and I have to leave at the same time.  This makes it hard to get ready in the morning.  We have 1 bathroom so you do that math.  Its gone really well.  I get up first and shower.  While he showers I make our lunches.

Minerva turned 1 on monday.  She has been attention starved.  We pay the price of leaving her alone when we get home.  She is right at the door ready for some lovins.  Animart (the place where we adopted her from) sent her a birthday card and invited her in to get a free gift.  I would recommend them if you are in the market for a pussy.

I'm looking forward to the weekend.  Its Mothers day.  We will be at my mom's house in Racine.  Pray for great weather.

My new saturday schedule

So, now that I am joining the normal work force.  I have started a saturday schedule.  Laundry on a saturday.  It started this morning.  Jason and I did the laundry together.  He has his way and I have mine.  To put it lightly.  We also are doing our weekly grocery shopping today as well.  I guess this is the way of the world.

The game table awaits!!!

Its much nicer outside than inside the house!  I hope spring and summer is here to stay!  Today was my last day as an unemployed man!  I start my new job on Monday!  It has been a long road of applying for the right job.  With the market being what it is... let's just say I kept my fingers crossed.  Jason is just happy that I'll be working.  Now that I will have weekends off.... We are planning on having more game nights!

Speaking weekends!  We are planning on lots of things.  Mothers day is just around the corner.  We plan on going home to Milwaukee the whole weekend.  After that...  We are hosting Game Night.  E-vites are going out next week.  I'm also looking forward to Memorial Day Weekend.  We will be back in Milwaukee.  Then comes June and Milwaukee's Pridefest.  A parade of failed relationships.  Jason will be so proud of me that day.  I don't give a fuck.  Wanda Sykes is the entertainment on Friday the 6th.

Let me know if you want to join us or have an event to add to our calendar.  I'll keep you posted as the days get closer and on how the new job is going!

The wait will soon be over!

Happy Thursday!  Today SJP and the gang will be on Oprah.  I can't wait till the Sex and The City Movie comes out!  Speaking of waiting!  I'm so bored waiting for my new job to start.  Before I would fill my days with applying for jobs and checking up on applications and resumes posted.  Answering calls, and calling leads.  Now that I'm waiting for my new job to start.... There is nothing to fill my day!  Maybe its cause the weather has been lame.  Looks nice right now.

The one thing that is bugging me today,  Paula Abdul.  How hard is it to show up for an hour, watch 5 people sing, say some stupid comment that no one should take seriously, and then go home?  I remember she was the choreographer for the Tracy Ullman show on Fox.  They must have said "We got this Paula Abdul just laying around, What should we do with her?"  "Eh, just put her on a silly reality show, the kids wont know who the hell she is!"  Idol is a show of Wannabes and Has beens.  I thought it was doing better by getting real celebs like Dolly, Mariah, and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.  Once again American Idol has left a bad taste in my mouth, and not in a good way.  The fact that Jason Castro has made it this far, reminds me of the days of Taylor Hicks.  I think I saw him working nights at the local IHOP.  I'm glad it gave us something to talk about.  It also gave us talent like Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood, and Clay Akin.  Not to mention Chris Daughtry, and Kelly Clarkson.  I think these artist would have found their way with out the silly unprofessionalism of American Idol.  The show could be much better if they found better judges.  The catty brit with the saggy man tits, has got to go.  Randy(yo, dawg, I can't say a complete sentence) Jackson, and Paula(I got a full time gig, so I can buy drugs and booze)Abdul just need to leave.  In the words of Kelly"Just Walk Away!"

The middle of the week!

Isn't this the cutest thing you have ever seen in your LIFE!!!

It's dry hump day!!!  The middle of the work week.  For those of you that work.  I'm really excited 'cause, we are gonna get our George W. Bush pay off money.  This is the $600.00 to make you say "eh, he wasn't such a bad guy!"  RIGHT!  That's not gonna happen.

We are planning of buying Trek Lime bikes.  This way we can bike to work and not have to pay so much at the pump.  If we can cut our gas usage in half, we would save $100.00+ a month.  I'm happy we are doing this.  I could use the morning workout.  Now all I have to do is pick the color I want.  I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

I am happy to report all the great changes my friends are making to be a lil greener.  Jason and I walk almost everywhere.  We can't go to breakfast or the farmers market unless we walk.  My friend, Jenny, traded her husbands truck for a small toyota.  We started using the canvas bags when we go to the store.  We gave up bottle water.

Every day we try to change a lil more.

Jason's Smile!

I just got home from taking Jason to the dentist.  He has gone in for his first round of crowns on his back teeth.  It's a six hour event today.  I can't imagine sitting with my mouth open wide for six hours.  They said they give good drugs.  It was sweet that they let me come back and say good bye to him.  I like when people treat Jason and I like we are a couple.  Not just the "GAY" couple, but the real everyday thing.  It makes me smile!

I was killing some time the other day, chatting online.  There was a guy who IM'ed me and asked if I had a BF.  I told him yes and this weekend my parents are coming to town to visit us.  He then asked if my parents thought he was just my str8 roommate.  I told him "NO, we live in the year 2008"  WHO DOES THAT?  I didn't tell my parents up front, but I don't think they are stupid enough to believe that Jason is just a friend.  When we first moved it together, I gave them a tour of the house.  When we got to the bed rooms and they noticed two rooms and only one bed.  The jig is up!  We sleep together!  I'm not one to swish the gay flag, however, I can't deny that I share the love that dare speaks its name.  Its cute cause I want to get Minerva a shirt that says "I LOVE MY DADS"

Off the gay "don't drop the soap" box!  Lets move on to something else!  Why don't they have days of the week underwear for guys???  This would help grown men become more aware of the changing of the underwear factor!  No one likes that corn chip smell.  No one seeks the fromunda cheese!  We call that "going fresh"!  I'm guessing that I will have to come up with this on my own.

If we are counting down...  I have 4 more days as a free man!  I start my new work week next monday.  Minerva is gonna have to spend the weekdays alone in the house.  I'll be home by 5PM.  I'm sure she will be crazy the first week, but mellow out after.  Next monday is her first birth day.  Anyone who has met my pussy knows how special she is.  We are lucky to have her!

Well, I'm off to kill more time.  I should do some laundry and see where in the world is Matt Lauer.  Have a good day!

The first taste!

Here I am blogging.  I have two friends who have told me I simply must start blogging.  Now I can say "I'm one of those people!"  I shouldn't knock them since they might be the only ones reading this.

If we are to start a story I guess it's best to begin at the beginning....

I'm Joe.  31 and live in Madison, WI.  I moved here from Milwaukee about 1 year and 9 months ago.  I met my bf, Jason, about a month after I moved here.  He is the best thing ever to happen to me.  How did we meet?  Good question....  I went out on a limb in my new city.  On my own!  No friends, no ride home, no way out!  Kidding, but I did go on my own.  I was to meet a guy who DJs at club 5.  I didn't want to be his groupie, and he looked like he was busy... so,  I did what every GWM does in this situation... Drink and Dance.  Jason was cute.  He was on the dance floor wearing a pair of camo cargo pants, big shit kicker shoes and a wool turtle  neck sweater.  It was September 29th and still kinda warm out.  My first words to him were...  "Arn't you hot??"  Just then I got a phone call.  It was my friend Brad.  Brad never calls me so, I thought it must be urgent.  I ran out the  front door to take the call.  I don't even remember what it was all about.  I just wanted to get back inside to the boy I was dancing with.  When I walked back in, Jason was standing there.  I asked him if he was leaving.  He said "No"  and I knew he was interested.  I said "lets go do a shot!"  I drank way too much and I didn't have a ride home.  I was willing to take a cab but Jason offered to take me home.  I didn't know that he meant tomorrow.  I spent the night with him.  NO SEX!  Partly cause I was too drunk.  He did take me home and when I asked the dreaded question of "When will I see you again?"  He replied with a smile and said "Tonight, I'll come over with a bottle of wine!"

That was a year and 8 months ago.  We have come so far.  We live together in a fantastic house.  We are renting for the moment.  We have a kitty.  Minerva.  She is the love of my life.  This past weekend we had my parents spend Saturday night and Sunday here.  It was my mom's b-day weekend.  Jason's Dad joined us.  He is great!  He blew me away with he current offer to put up the down payment on a house for Jason and I.

I consider myself very lucky.  I'm starting a new job next monday.  The summer is looking to be a great one.  We have a lot of great friends to share and be thankful for.  I'm looking forward to blogging more and more.  I hope you want to read it all!
