The middle of the week!

Isn't this the cutest thing you have ever seen in your LIFE!!!

It's dry hump day!!!  The middle of the work week.  For those of you that work.  I'm really excited 'cause, we are gonna get our George W. Bush pay off money.  This is the $600.00 to make you say "eh, he wasn't such a bad guy!"  RIGHT!  That's not gonna happen.

We are planning of buying Trek Lime bikes.  This way we can bike to work and not have to pay so much at the pump.  If we can cut our gas usage in half, we would save $100.00+ a month.  I'm happy we are doing this.  I could use the morning workout.  Now all I have to do is pick the color I want.  I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

I am happy to report all the great changes my friends are making to be a lil greener.  Jason and I walk almost everywhere.  We can't go to breakfast or the farmers market unless we walk.  My friend, Jenny, traded her husbands truck for a small toyota.  We started using the canvas bags when we go to the store.  We gave up bottle water.

Every day we try to change a lil more.

Jason's Smile!

I just got home from taking Jason to the dentist.  He has gone in for his first round of crowns on his back teeth.  It's a six hour event today.  I can't imagine sitting with my mouth open wide for six hours.  They said they give good drugs.  It was sweet that they let me come back and say good bye to him.  I like when people treat Jason and I like we are a couple.  Not just the "GAY" couple, but the real everyday thing.  It makes me smile!

I was killing some time the other day, chatting online.  There was a guy who IM'ed me and asked if I had a BF.  I told him yes and this weekend my parents are coming to town to visit us.  He then asked if my parents thought he was just my str8 roommate.  I told him "NO, we live in the year 2008"  WHO DOES THAT?  I didn't tell my parents up front, but I don't think they are stupid enough to believe that Jason is just a friend.  When we first moved it together, I gave them a tour of the house.  When we got to the bed rooms and they noticed two rooms and only one bed.  The jig is up!  We sleep together!  I'm not one to swish the gay flag, however, I can't deny that I share the love that dare speaks its name.  Its cute cause I want to get Minerva a shirt that says "I LOVE MY DADS"

Off the gay "don't drop the soap" box!  Lets move on to something else!  Why don't they have days of the week underwear for guys???  This would help grown men become more aware of the changing of the underwear factor!  No one likes that corn chip smell.  No one seeks the fromunda cheese!  We call that "going fresh"!  I'm guessing that I will have to come up with this on my own.

If we are counting down...  I have 4 more days as a free man!  I start my new work week next monday.  Minerva is gonna have to spend the weekdays alone in the house.  I'll be home by 5PM.  I'm sure she will be crazy the first week, but mellow out after.  Next monday is her first birth day.  Anyone who has met my pussy knows how special she is.  We are lucky to have her!

Well, I'm off to kill more time.  I should do some laundry and see where in the world is Matt Lauer.  Have a good day!

The first taste!

Here I am blogging.  I have two friends who have told me I simply must start blogging.  Now I can say "I'm one of those people!"  I shouldn't knock them since they might be the only ones reading this.

If we are to start a story I guess it's best to begin at the beginning....

I'm Joe.  31 and live in Madison, WI.  I moved here from Milwaukee about 1 year and 9 months ago.  I met my bf, Jason, about a month after I moved here.  He is the best thing ever to happen to me.  How did we meet?  Good question....  I went out on a limb in my new city.  On my own!  No friends, no ride home, no way out!  Kidding, but I did go on my own.  I was to meet a guy who DJs at club 5.  I didn't want to be his groupie, and he looked like he was busy... so,  I did what every GWM does in this situation... Drink and Dance.  Jason was cute.  He was on the dance floor wearing a pair of camo cargo pants, big shit kicker shoes and a wool turtle  neck sweater.  It was September 29th and still kinda warm out.  My first words to him were...  "Arn't you hot??"  Just then I got a phone call.  It was my friend Brad.  Brad never calls me so, I thought it must be urgent.  I ran out the  front door to take the call.  I don't even remember what it was all about.  I just wanted to get back inside to the boy I was dancing with.  When I walked back in, Jason was standing there.  I asked him if he was leaving.  He said "No"  and I knew he was interested.  I said "lets go do a shot!"  I drank way too much and I didn't have a ride home.  I was willing to take a cab but Jason offered to take me home.  I didn't know that he meant tomorrow.  I spent the night with him.  NO SEX!  Partly cause I was too drunk.  He did take me home and when I asked the dreaded question of "When will I see you again?"  He replied with a smile and said "Tonight, I'll come over with a bottle of wine!"

That was a year and 8 months ago.  We have come so far.  We live together in a fantastic house.  We are renting for the moment.  We have a kitty.  Minerva.  She is the love of my life.  This past weekend we had my parents spend Saturday night and Sunday here.  It was my mom's b-day weekend.  Jason's Dad joined us.  He is great!  He blew me away with he current offer to put up the down payment on a house for Jason and I.

I consider myself very lucky.  I'm starting a new job next monday.  The summer is looking to be a great one.  We have a lot of great friends to share and be thankful for.  I'm looking forward to blogging more and more.  I hope you want to read it all!
